Qualification in Resilient Technologies

A studio-based programme for people who want to provide resourceful, resilient, sovereign technologies in their communities.

Attaining skills in resilient technologies is to reclaim ownership of our digital future:

  • Restoring and reimagining computers
  • Mastering open operating systems
  • Running AI locally
  • Building for the open web
  • Physical computing and sensing
  • Digital fabrication and electronics
  • Deploying lean energy infrastructure
  • Aerial operations

The programme is inspired by Tairāwhiti, while being designed to serve any community where the standard technology stack is too expensive, too dependent, or simply doesn't reach.

This proposed qualification is being actively considered as a delivery of the New Zealand Diploma in Information Technology (Level 5), Certificate in Applied Software Development (Level 6) and Certificate in Applied Digital Technology (Level 6), and/or a suite of micro-credentials.
